Kristi, my wife, and I spend many evenings on our front porch watching grand displays of lightning to the east of our home. I am profoundly moved by these marvelous evenings. The Storm Watchers is a celebration of God's wonderful creation. A young couple hold each other close as they enjoy the softness of a warm summer evening. Below them, in the moonlight, their hometown is set aglow with thousands of sparkling lights. Meanwhile, there is another who has good reason to notice the awesome grandeur rising over this peaceful scene. The pilot of the Beechcraft D-18 must watch the storm and make decisions that will affect his flight and safety.
