After completing Good as Gold, my previous print of two Golden Retriever puppies, I was in a "puppy" mood. Painting these fun and fascinating balls of fur is always a pleasure. They're just so full of life! So I looked around until I found a new-bom pair of one of my favorite breeds-the Black Lab.
The Black Labrador is a handsome, faithful
breed, and one I've painted before, but never this
young. I hope these two bring you some of the
pleasure they bring to their masters . . . and as you
could guess, they're really no trouble at all! - John
